Have patience, my friends.

blinkif i look up at the sky will i know enough to closeblink
my mouth when it rains?
or will i continue staring, staring into the endless blue until the water fills me up like a womb inside out and i drown?
last night i dreamt i was back in the fifth grade sitting in the rear of the classroom because i hadn't learned what i needed to survive
the only way to survive is to
look up

NightMy arms ache, wanting to be around you, my eyes close, imagining you in the dark...Night
Your form still and quiet, your breathing even, your tender lips slightly apart.
You're asleep, and I'm the one dreaming.

Sonnet 95Death plays sweetly the strings of existence, Coating the lips and dusting the lids With the soil of finality; straining, it bids The spirit home with yearning insistence. A meadow resplendent with crystallized dreams The blossoms of which, if held in the hand, Crumble. Their brilliance eroding like sand. A reminder that nothing remains as it seems. Each moment we breathe leads to an ending; Splashing the path where the walk's just begun With blood, running downhill towards the one Whose source resides in time, and its bending. The magic words bestowed upon usSonnet 95
